PRAYER IS COMMUNION WITH GOD

Prayer is communion with God, it is to be in His presence. God wants to be with us and we with Him in an uninterrupted fellowship with us.

Rejoice at all times. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Th. 5:16-18

He created us to have fellowship with us. He wants to communicate Himself, Jesus Christ, all that He is and all that He has with us! He holds nothing back from us, He wants to share all His riches and all His glory with us!

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1Cor. 1:9

God paid dearly with the precious blood of His Son that we might have fellowship with Him. Let’s take a minute and reflect on how much he loves us, how much he wants to be with us! The cross of Christ indicates to us how much God wants to have fellowship with us, and that any deprivation of His presence in our lives is never because of God’s unwillingness to be with us, but of ours. God gave His Son, the Lord shed His precious blood in order that even the worst sinner(each one of us) have access the true Holy of Holies of His divine presence.

Therefore brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus.. let us draw near with a true heart.. Hebrews 10:19,22

Our sins are not an obstacle and cannot keep us away from His presence unless we love them and want to live in them. If we do not enter and keep our sins, we will abide in them and be deprived of the greatest gift, privilege, honor, and pleasure that one can receive in this life and in eternity, to be in His presence. In His presence we are freed from our sins. In our sins we are deprived of His presence. God’s communion with man was not interrupted because of God, but because of man’s sin. Man’s sin was and is a product of his deception that God did not want and does not want to share His glory with him and that by himself he could become and obtain everything he needs. Every sin of man is a product of the interruption of his communion with God. Man’s repentance and entering to communion with God is his salvation! Our lives depend on the communion with our Creator. What we do as a product of our communion with Him is His glory that overflows us and expresses Himself through us. Everything we do that does not come from our communion with God is a sin. Prayer itself, if it is not communion with God, is a sin. If our prayer is not communion with God, then it is not true prayer. This is why true prayer begins with repentance and faith in God, faith in communion with Him. Our dependence on God, on abiding in Him and enjoying His presence, is our deliverance, our freedom from all forms of slavery of sin. In true prayer and communion with God all our needs are fulfilled according to His riches, according to Jesus Christ, and in this God is pleased and glorified.
